Utilizing Yahoo! Answers To Increase Traffic To A Website?

Prince Markie Dee asked:

The primary reason I am asking this question is that I noticed some of the users at Yahoo! Answers supply a link (URL) to a particular website after they post a question or a detailed response (answer) to a question. I own a small online bookstore and I would like to know if posting the URL of my site after I answered or ask a question violate any restrictions of Yahoo! Answers. I reviewed the “community guidelines” of this site and it mentioned using Yahoo! Answers to accumulate customers for financial purposes is considered to be intrusive and borderline spam. That added to my confusion to what’s legal and what’s forbidden in terms of posting URLs on this site. I have heard around the grapevine that some marketers use your service to increase traffic to their business. That only increase my curiosity. The last thing I would want to do is post a link to my site and be labeled a spam thug and lose my privileges on this site. Thank you for the answers in advance.

I thought promoting websites was against the rules. I suggested one in an answer once and it was immediately pulled. I just saw a ? asking 4 favorite websites and it listed a bunch. What is the rule regarding this?

Why does not Yahoo pay us for bringing traffic to the page?

LawNerd asked:

I mean, we bring traffic to the site. We cause people to keep visiting the page, however, they don’t give any type of revenue. If it were Google, it would have been different.

Don’t you think they should give revenue according to how much you contribute?
“Lustrail,” believe. I know more that you about advertisement. Google get money from advertiser, however, many of it service allow you to put adds on it and you get revenue for it. GooglePages and Blogger. Who is the silly now?
And what we do with the points? Do we go to the “points bank” and deposit them for retirement?
